Influence of Some Parameters on the Emf

Some influences stand out on the minimum fluidization porosity (Kunii and Levenspiel, 1991; Tannous, 1994):

  • The bed height and column diameter do not have a significant influence on the minimum fluidization porosity, 10<Remf<270 and 0,14x105<Ar<180x105 ;
  • emf increased slightly (1 – 4%) with an increase in operating pressure;
  • emf increases with temperature for fine particles (uo to 8% at temperatures higher than 500°C) but apparently is not affected by temperature in beds of large particles.
